The boys return for the now annual Ath involvement in the LOROS Leicester to Skegness charity ride.

In 2017 5 plucky Ath Athletes took part in the LOROS Leicester to Skegness charity bike ride.

This year the Ath are back and bigger and stronger than ever with 9 unstoppable pedal pushers raring to hit the roads of Leicestershire and Lincolnshire for two of the most worth causes, Sausage and Chips on Skeggy beach and of course, LOROS.

The ride is on Saturday the 2nd June and kicks off from ~6am from the Leicester Clock Tower, with a solid 85 miles of tarmac between there and victory.

The following chaps have signed up for this marathon pedal-athon:

Darren Watson,
Kyle Sargeant,
Andrew Johnstone,
Rich Alexander,
Cameron Ross,
Andrew Bedford,
Paul Allen,
Paul Akroyd,
Jonathan Hunt.

For all donations please see our justgiving page :HERE (JustGiving)

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

Their work in the community is highly commended by those whom work alongside them and especially by those who have experienced their services first hand.

Last year's charity ride was a fantastic event and the Ath raised a considerable sum of money both through direct charitable donations to the event but also through other events throughout the year such as post match raffles. LOROS is the Ath's chosen local charity for all fund raising run through the club.

Every donation is appreciate and will fuel our Ath-cycle-lettes on to their goal! Thank you!
